During your visit it is well worth walking up Llandegley Rocks to experience the stunning views over the park and the surrounding area.

You are within walking distance of the local Public House and Garage.  Also worth visiting is the recently restored Thomas Shop. www.thomas-shop.com

A 20 minute car drive and you can be at the famous Elan Valley.  This area hosts five reservoirs, which supply the city of Birmingham with Water.  www.elanvalley.org.uk

During July the local town of Llanelwedd near Builth Wells plays host to the Royal Welsh show.  This is reported to be the largest agricultural show in the country and well worth visiting.  www.rwas.co.uk .  The site also hosts a small holders weekend in May, which is worth taking the family to.

The Judges lodgings in Presteigne is just a 20 minute drive away and gives a fascinating insight into life in the 1870’s.  This award winning museum gives an insight into both the upstairs and downstairs life in the judges lodgings. www.judgeslodging.org.uk.

The Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre is a magical place to experience animals, birds, and owls.  Enjoy a few hours of pure simple pleasure in an enchanting place where the rest of the world just doesn't seem to exist. www.owlcentre.com
